My main work is designing and making permanent architectural installations for public and private commission.

The Three Dimensional Design Degree gave me a good basic grounding in a wide range of design and making skills, and also a great opportunity to advance my specialist skills in ceramics. Other skills I learnt on the course that I have found really useful in my career were the use of CAD design, and learning a professional approach to my work.

Probably the best thing I did during my time at MMU was to take advantage of an overseas exchange trip. I went to study ceramics at Alfred in America, and I would recommend to students that if there are currently similar opportunities on offer I would seize them with both hands.
