Rachel Jane Holland

My work is thrown earthenware studio ceramics. Influenced by traditional slipware each piece is individually decorated with patterns inspired by nature. The decoration is produced by drawing through the white slip to reveal the red clay body underneath. The pieces are functional and decorative making them suitable for domestic use. Using this technique I have designed a range of plates, bowls, bottles, beakers and jugs.
