This work has developed from my intrigue into urban surface patterns and the magnifying qualities of glass. I wanted my pieces to draw attention to the beauty of unloved surfaces and make them into cherished objects. It is important to me that the work when warn can be handled and inspected, encouraging the playful nature of the distorting qualities of glass.

Another aspect to my work has been my passion for working with people and encouraging creativity. The three larger pieces of work are from a project I have run with St Philips School. Here I introduced the class to my practice, and exposed them to new materials and processes to make these final pieces.
