Specimens of Fragility

My work focuses on imitating the form and fluid structure of natural life forms, taking inspiration from leafy liverworts, a member of the bryophyte family, which includes moss. I have used moulded, molten wax to explore aspects of fragility and transience. Prolonging the lifespan of such a fragile media, by boxing the objects within perspex frames, but to also exploit and abuse its delicate nature by creating large scale panels, which in time would be damaged and therefore would wear away.
