I lecture in ceramics at Cardiff School of Art and Design - Britain's largest centre of clay based practice teaching at both graduate and post graduate levels.

I still produce my own work working from my studio at home in rural West Wales, making individual thrown and turned forms with terrasigalata surfaces. My work is in many private and public collections in Britain and internationally.

After graduating from Three Dimensional Design I studied for an MA at Cardiff School of Art and Design, and on completing this course I have taught in a number of Art and Design institutions in subjects ranging from ceramics to product design.

The Three Dimensional Design course enabled me to develop a strong understanding of a personal aesthetic and gave me the ability to articulate this through both specific skills in ceramics as well as a strong grounding in other material disciplines.

My advice to students is to use your time to embrace as many opportunities as possible both within the academic programme and outside, as this experience will form the base of your professional life.
