Ben Wilson Design

I work as a freelance designer within, 3D Design, product design, industrial design, advertising work concept interior design, and engineering.

After graduating from Manchester I went on to Gain an MA from the Royal College of Art, and set up my own company Ben Wilson Design, where I work with mass produced products and one-off hand made commissions, many of which pieces have been extensively published and exhibited worldwide.

My clients include: Levi's, Nike, Addidas, Artemide, Ron Arad Associates, The Light Surgeons, Honda, Swarovski, Audi, Land Rover, Olympus, Stussy, Sony/Columbia, British Council, Manfrotto, Coca-cola, Designers Block, Mike Figgis, McCann- Erickson, Heals, Lee, Wizz-kidz, Unilever, Footlocker.

During my time on the Three Dimensional Design course it allowed me to have a good use of workshops and learn some invaluable skills in making. It also gave me time to develop and work out who I am and what I wanted to do, what I didn't want to do, and who I didn't want to be.

In addition all these key design and making skills, it also gave me confidence that has been invaluable in my professional career, and especially with public speaking.

My advice to students is to have a strong vision, be bold, keep learning and taking risks, and don't be afraid to make mistakes.
